What RenewTrackIE promises, what it does not, and what happens if a reminder does not save you.
Last updated 17 Aug 2026
The short version. RenewTrackIE is a reminder and reference tool. It is not financial advice, and the provider details in it are published for convenience and can go out of date. The contract with your provider is the thing that binds — always confirm with them directly.
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of the RenewTrackIE mobile app and this website (together, "the service"). By using the service you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.
2. What the service is
RenewTrackIE helps you record recurring household bills, reminds you before they renew, and provides contact details for Irish providers. That is the whole of it.
3. What the service is not
RenewTrackIE is not financial, legal or energy advice. We are not a broker, and we do not arrange, sell or switch any contract on your behalf. We are not regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland and do not hold ourselves out as a financial advisor.
Decisions about your contracts are yours. Where the amounts involved matter to you, take advice from someone qualified to give it.
4. Accuracy of provider information
We publish phone numbers, email addresses, web links, service areas and general guidance about Irish providers. We check these by hand and the app tells you when an entry has not been confirmed recently.
Even so, providers change their numbers, their processes and their notice periods without telling us. Information in the service is provided for convenience and without warranty of accuracy or completeness. Before you rely on it — particularly before you rely on a notice period or a cancellation route — confirm it with the provider.
Contract terms, notice periods and typical contract lengths shown in the app are general guidance. Your own agreement with your provider always takes precedence.
5. Reminders
Reminders are scheduled by your device. They depend on your phone being on, on notifications being permitted, and on you having entered the right dates.
We make no guarantee that any particular reminder will be delivered, or delivered on time. A missed reminder does not make us responsible for a contract that renewed. Treat RenewTrackIE as a helpful second pair of eyes, not as a guarantee.
6. Your data and your responsibility for it
Your bill records are stored on your device and not on our servers. That means we cannot recover them for you. If you change or lose your phone without exporting a backup, they are gone. The app provides an export for exactly this reason, and we recommend using it.
See the privacy policy for what is and is not sent to us.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, bulk-download or republish the provider directory
- use the service to send unsolicited messages to providers or anyone else
- attempt to gain access to the API other than through the app
- submit false corrections or abusive content through the feedback feature
8. Intellectual property
The service, its design, its written guides and the compiled directory are ours or our licensors'. Provider names, logos and trade marks belong to those providers, and their appearance here indicates neither endorsement nor affiliation.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it. The app's core function — your bills and your on-device reminders — continues to work when our servers do not.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, arising from your use of the service — including a contract that renewed, a rate that increased, or a deadline that passed.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law are unaffected.
11. RenewTrackIE Pro — the one-off purchase
RenewTrackIE is free to use for up to five tracked bills. Tracking more requires RenewTrackIE Pro, a single payment that does not renew — €1.29 in Ireland, and the App Store or Google Play shows you the price in your own currency before you buy. It is not a subscription: there is nothing to cancel and you will not be charged again. In the euro area the price shown includes VAT.
Everything else in the app — the provider directory, on-device reminders, the spending breakdown, and backup and export — remains free.
Who takes the payment
The purchase is made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their terms. They take the payment, issue the receipt and handle the VAT. We never see or hold your card details.
Refunds
Refunds are issued by Apple or Google, not by us, and are governed by their policies — Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com, Google through the Play Store's order history. If a refund is issued, Pro stops being active on the next check. We do not resist refunds; if the app did not do what you expected, ask for your euro back.
Right of withdrawal
Under EU consumer law you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. Because Pro is digital content delivered immediately, you consent to immediate performance when you buy, and that right ends once the unlock is delivered. This does not affect your statutory rights if the product is faulty or not as described, and it does not affect the store's own more generous refund practice.
Restoring it
Pro is tied to the App Store or Google Play account that bought it, not to a device or to any account with us. Use "Restore a previous purchase" in the app to bring it back on a new or reset phone. If you switch platform — from iPhone to Android or the other way — the purchase does not carry across, because the two stores are separate.
If the price or the free limit changes
We may change the price for new purchasers, or the number of bills included free. A purchase already made is never revoked or downgraded by such a change.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country.
