How it works

Three things, done properly

Add what you pay for, get told before the deadline that matters, and have the right number to hand when you act. Everything else the app does is in service of those three.

  1. 1. Add a bill
  2. 2. Get reminded in time
  3. 3. Ring them without going looking
1

Add a bill

Pick a category, pick your provider from the Irish directory, and enter the renewal or contract end date. If you know the notice period, enter that too — it is the number that decides your real deadline.

Amounts are optional. If you add them, bills on different cycles are normalised to a monthly figure so the totals are comparable. Account numbers and notes are optional too, and they never leave the phone.

  • About a minute for the first one
  • Provider details fill themselves in
  • Nothing is mandatory except a name

2

Get reminded in time

Your phone schedules the reminders itself. They arrive whether or not you have signal, and they work without an account because nothing has to be looked up on a server.

Each bill gets up to four, and every one of them moves when you change the notice period. Reminders are never scheduled into the past, so a bill added the week it renews simply gets fewer of them.

  • At your chosen lead time
  • A week before the deadline
  • On the last day you can give notice
  • On the renewal date itself

3

Ring them without going looking

Each bill links to its provider's customer service line, emergency number, email and switching page. The directory is downloaded to your phone, so it works offline.

Details are checked by hand, and the app tells you when an entry has not been confirmed recently rather than pretending otherwise. If you find a wrong number, there is a report button — that is how it gets fixed for everyone.

  • The switching page, not the homepage
  • A report button when something is wrong

Worth having to hand

What to dig out first

None of it is required — you can add a bill with a name alone and fill the rest in later. But these three turn a list into something that warns you.

The renewal date

On your last bill or your welcome email. Without it there is nothing to count down to.

The notice period

Usually 30 days in Ireland, 31 at Sky. It is the difference between a reminder that helps and one that arrives too late.

Roughly what you pay

Enough for the spending breakdown to be worth reading. Round numbers are fine.

Where we stop

What the app will never do

A tool that also sells you something is not really telling you when to switch. So this one does not sell you anything.

What we store, exactly
  • No price quotes and no comparison table
  • No selling your details to switching brokers
  • No commission when you move provider
  • No copy of your bills on our servers
